Xert – Adaptive Training Program
The Xert Adaptive Training Advisor and Training Pacer built me up to a higher level of preparation, for sure. This week, I will transfer over from “Build”, to “Peak” in the Xert Adaptive Training Program.
The Target Date is still November 14th. That’s when Tracy and I will attempt to summit Truck Route 341 yet again – this time, with a breakthrough in the 20-25 minute range in mind. I’m not worried about time. We both just want to set 20MMP Records that coincide with the Power-Duration Predictions at those levels.

It will be interesting to see what Xert’s Adaptive Training Program lays out. I’m looking forward to the intervals, but I also want to build my own.
Take a look at the Xert “Weekly Stats” page, inside of the “Xert Planner” menu.
Xert Planner

The “Suggested Focus” is where the Xert Adaptive Training Planner WANTS me.
You can see where the most recent two weeks have applied FOCUS. The Xert Adaptive Training Planner set”Suggested Focus” to “Climber”, which is my 10 Minute Mean Max Power. Then, to the left, is my ACTUAL Weekly Focus. I Focused on “GC Specialist” for the week of September 28. I focused on “Climber” for the week of October 5.
To the right, under “TL”, we see a growing column as well. “TL” stands for “Training Load”, and it shows my growth in trending XSS over a longer period of time.
The Xert Adaptive Training Planner looks at ALL of this in a proprietary context. It then comes up with new numbers and suggestions, to help me focus my goals.
I’m going to head out and ride again this am, to stay on target. I’ll write more later. Thanks for reading!
