Xert Daily Ditty – Interval Targets
Xert Daily Ditty – Interval Targets Today’s Xert Daily Ditty shows how the Xert Adaptive Training Advisor obtains my Interval Targets. The Xert Focus Type Recommendation is right at my 5MMP, or current “Breakaway Specialist” wattage value. This is currently at 355 watts. The Interval Targets just happen to be: 355 watts….. And when I […]
Xert GOALS – Alter the parameters.
Xert Goals Today’s Xert Daily Ditty is covering recent ground; I have to reconcile what the Adaptive Training Advisor is telling me, vs what I am seeing in the Progression and Fitness Signature. I also need to alter the Parameters in the “Goals” Section, to better fit my perspective of what I’m seeing and feeling […]
Xert Daily Ditty for January 6th, 2021 – A Fitness Breakthrough and more!
I finally bucked the trend and performed a hard workout yesterday. It led to a Fitness Breakthrough, a new fitness signature, and more. But I want to get my Weekly Intensity set for my 5 Minute Mean Max Power (5MMP – or “Breakaway Specialist”). So, it’s back on the rollers for more intervals! Here’s Today’s […]
Today’s Xert Daily Ditty – Changing the Training Advisor Recommendations by Changing the Freshness Feedback.
Today’s Xert Daily Ditty I changed the Xert Training Suggestions and Adaptive Training Advisor by altering the Freshness Feedback under my Goals. Instead of an “Endurance” Focused Ride, I got what I wanted – a “Breakaway Specialist” FOCUS. I think my Fitness Signature is stale, and I want to work towards a breakthrough, possibly today. […]
A Simple Proposal.
I’m offering my readers, coaching clients, and prospective readers A Simple Proposal.
I’ll be placing my past and future webinars behind this paywall, and instead of offering separate charges for Webinars, I’m going to fold them in with the blog membership.
You’ll be able to read all the blog’s contents, watch past webinars, all future webinars, and their recordings, for $9.99 a month.
I MAY offer Group Fitness Classes through the blog membership when that becomes available; we’re not there yet, so we’ll have to see.
Anyway, I’d like to hear your opinion. The Xert Daily Ditties take about an hour each, and of course, Webinars take time, but they work best when there’s lots of interaction and they’re set to a regular schedule.
With that, here’s the Webinar from January 1st. I’ll post a blog later today.
Thanks for Reading, and Enjoy the Ride!
Xert FOCUS – Progression Through Intensity
Xert Focus is one of the F.I.T.T. Variables When Training
[caption id="attachment_12551" align="aligncenter" width="1024"]
The Xert FOCUS metric shows you where the “Concentration of Benefits” show up during and after a ride. This is a rolling 22-day average of “FOCUS” that most recently shows me with a FOCUS inside of 9 minutes.[/caption]
The Xert FOCUS feature is one of the best, but perhaps least-understood features in the Xert Fitness Ecosystem. The value is expressed in terms of………..
Xert Freshness Feedback
Xert Freshness Feedback and How It Affects The Adaptive Training Advisor
After yesterday’s blog post, I called up Scott Steele, a young protege who works at Xert/Baron BioSystems. We spoke about the Xert Freshness Feedback and how it affects the Adaptive Training Advisor. We both agreed that the Freshness Feedback Slider is an important part of the Xert Ecosystem, and it deserves more attention.

The Xert Freshness Feedback Slider is an easily-overlooked feature in Xert that can help you dial in your workouts for the best results.[/caption]
Where IS the Xert Freshness Feedback?
The first thing you need to know is just where this feature is located in the Xert system.
Keep the Needle Pointing “NORTH”
I’m going to Keep the Needle Pointing “North”. The Xert Adaptive Training Advisor appears to be a reward system. I’m enjoying the fact that when I wake up, I can look at the ATA and the Training Pacer, realize just how hard or easy I need to ride, and then GO DO IT. I’ve said […]
Xert – Adaptive Training Program
Xert – Adaptive Training Program
The Xert Adaptive Training Advisor and Training Pacer built me up to a higher level of preparation, for sure. This week, I will transfer over from “Build”, to “Peak” in the Xert Adaptive Training Program.
The Target Date is still November 14th. That’s when Tracy and I will attempt to summit Truck Route 341 yet again – this time, with a breakthrough in the 20-25 minute range in mind. I’m not worried about time. We both just want to set 20MMP Records that coincide with the Power-Duration Predictions at those levels.

The Xert Adaptive Training Advisor has helped me stay on target. The Training Pacer remains between 11 and 1 O’clock. I’ve had few days off, but I’m ready to see what the Xert Adaptive Training Program has laid out for me as I transition from “Build”, to “Peak”.[/caption]
It will be interesting to see what Xert’s Adaptive Training Program lays out. I’m looking forward to the intervals, but I also want to build my own.
Take a look at the Xert “Weekly Stats” page, inside of the “Xert Planner” menu.
Xert – Training Optional on the Xert Training Pacer
Xert – Training Optional in the Xert Training Pacer.
I did it – I moved the needle to the 1 O’clock position. “Training Optional” is sweet, sweet music. I’m going to take the day off. The dogs have been walked. Work beckons in a few hours. Right now, I’m going to fly my flight sim and maybe have a quick coffee nap.
[caption id="attachment_12307" align="aligncenter" width="942"]
The volume and intensity I’ve achieved over the past several days is paying off. Taking a day off will NOT hurt my fitness, as the yellow triangle shows. There is also no workout suggestion in the description.[/caption]
Let’s look at the Xert Adaptive Training Advisor, below the Training Pacer. It describes WHY my status on the Training Pacer is set to “Training Optional”.
